HONOURABLE THIRU JUSTICE G.ILANGOVAN

Born on 05.06.1963 at Mettupalayam Village in Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, erstwhile Thanjavur District to Mr.A.Ganesan and Mrs.G.Neelavathi. Completed the Elementary School, High School and Higher Secondary School in Vilakudi, Pallankoil and at Thiruthuraipoondi respectively. Completed graduation in Bishop Heber College, Thiruchirapalli, completed Law Course in Government Law College, Thirchirapalli. Enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in 24.12.1987 and practised in Thiruthuraipoondi and Nagapattinam. Joined Judicial service as District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate on 01.07.1991, promoted as District Judge in January 2010, worked in Coimbatore, Erode, Registrar Judicial at Maduri Bench of Madras High Court and then as Principal District Judge, Pudukottai and Madurai. Elevated as Additional Judge, High Court of Madras on 03.12.2020 and became a Permanent Judge on 31.05.2022.
